Dustin Cañez 

Dustin Cañez is a director for film, theatre and opera. 

 

A military brat, Dustin spent his childhood all over the states leading him to The University of Alabama at Birmingham where he studied theatre. 

 

Though primarily a director, he also finds himself in the role of stage manager due to his organizational skills and people skills.

 

Dustin has been lucky enough to work as a director at such places as: The Kennedy Center, Opera Omaha, Transcendent Ensemble Theatre Company, Carnegie Mellon School of Drama Playground Festival, The Beckett Theater on Theatre Row and Alma Alter Theatre Laboratory in Sophia, Bulgaria.

 

Additionally, he has stage managed at: Opera Birmingham, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, Alabama Ballet and Carnegie Mellon School of Music.

 

Dustin currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
